About
The Cameron Art Museum exists today as a testament to the generosity of its patrons, supporters, and volunteers. Countless individuals have worked to build and sustain this Museum, and this book represents another such act of generosity and support for the only art museum in southeastern North Carolina. This project, The Cook’s Canvas 2, was conceived as a vehicle to raise funds for the Museum’s family and children programs. Each month the museum hosts Kids at CAM, a family event featuring quality art activities relating to the Museum’s current exhibitions: A central feature of this monthly event includes child docents who provide tours through the current exhibitions for other children and their families. Our young docents have remained one of the most popular aspects of these monthly Kids at CAM events.
We wish to extend our deepest thanks to the many volunteers of the Cookbook Committee who both conceived the cookbook and developed the recipes contained herein. Special thanks are due the members of the Executive Committee, without whom this cookbook project would not be possible. We are so grateful to Mary Coble, Hilda Dill, Robin Hackney, Anne Livingston, Ann Robins, and Dixey Smith for their diligent and creative efforts. Our appreciation also goes to the many volunteers on the committee who shared their time, financial support . . . and recipes! We are also grateful to the many individuals and businesses who underwrote this project, ensuring that every dollar raised through the sale of these books will directly support the Museum’s children’s and family programming.
We are proud of this community’s commitment to enable The Cameron Art Museum to fulfill its mission, bringing beautiful and enlightening an experiences to visitors of all ages. Our efforts to engage, enchant, and transform human lives through our exhibitions and programs would not be possible without the help of supporters and patrons like the volunteers comprising the Cookbook Committee.
We hope this cookbook brings you many happy and delicious moments.
